Okay, so let’s look at a few examples from my calorie counting calendar. I will give you a couple from a weekday and then a couple from the weekend. Also, something that I will talk about later, notice that I even get to eat real food and not some box of rice cakes and diet food that looks disgusting.

Monday

Glass of orange juice:                                      100

Cup of Coffee with French vanilla:                  100

Turkey Sandwich:                                            200 (bun is 140 and turkey is around 60)

Small bag of Doritos:                                       150

Small can of Coke:                                           90

Granola Bar for a snack:                                  140

Spaghetti (Hormel packaged):                         290

1 Corona:                                                         150

Total:                                                               1220 Give or take a few calories

Thursday

Glass of OJ:                                                      100

Granola bar:                                                    140

Progressive Chicken Noodle Soup:                  180

So as you can see you can actually eat some real food. But the deal is…you have to eat less of it. Also, keep in mind that 1200 calories is very hard to do. Remember I said that you need to start slow. So if you are currently eating 3000 calories per day then maybe start with cutting back to 2000 calories during the week and 2500 on the weekends. Now look at my examples and add 500-800 calories per day and maybe that seems more reasonable. You CAN do this, but it is up to you. If you will just quit looking at the next best diet pill and start to use your common sense you will be shedding the pounds in no time.
