I know there are some of you right now that are thinking “you’ve got to be kidding me”, he wants me to count calories. That doesn’t work. I had a friend whose cousin’s uncle’s friend said that doesn’t work. I know…but hear me out. Think about this way. Actually, hold that thought. First, realize that the examples I will be using are just basic examples. There are lots of variables in caloric intake and how it affects the body. I am not a scientist and you shouldn’t try and be either. Just look and the examples and apply common sense and you should see the light. Also, these examples will be different for boys and girls because girls usually don’t eat as much as boys but all you have to do is apply the same idea and it will work. Okay…now think about it this way. Let’s say that you are currently eating 4000 calories a day, and this is a boy’s example by the way. First of all, if you are eating that many calories you are definitely gaining weight, but I wanted to start off with an example that would be easy to understand. The problem with so many diets is that they are usually pretty drastic changes which makes it very difficult at first. Yes, you may lose weight that first week but it can take a big toll on you mentally and you can give up more easily. So, the first step is just to start eating less every day but start small and I guarantee it won’t seem near as challenging. So if you are currently eating 4000 calories every day, the first week maybe try 3500 calories. Then the next week try to bring that down to 3000 calories per day. However, if you are still struggling go back to 3500 or maybe 3300. Eventually, you will be able to bring that down to 2000 per day. Now, by the time you go from 4000 calories per day to 2000 calories per day, you will be shocked by your waistline. Okay, so the next question is how do I count the calories, right?
